2 Energy Management - Components of Power Train Management

MAGNA STEYR has built up a full hybrid premium SUV with longitudinal powertrain, where the so called high modular model based hybrid control is implemented. This softand hardware control includes everything from driver input down to clutch and transmission control and back to driver display. The complete algorithm is the result of a new product development process of MAGNA STEYR. The complete control is coded in Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow. Major benefits of these control are the modular structure ensuring the exchangeability and scalability, as well as a very efficient energy management, which already shows promising results.
